distracted

I have the attention span of a five year old... I am not even kidding you! I canNOT concentrate when I try to sit down and do something.

I guess I noticed it a little bit in school. I would sit down and start a paper. Except about every five seconds I would check AIM, facebook, google something, clean something, anything but what I had to do.

And now at work, it is just worse. I can't sit and write an email without my mind wandering. Part of this is probably because I am just bored... but still... it is bad people.

I try to work out a reward situation for myself... but it doesn't always work. I will think, ok, get this far on the project and then you can write so and so an email. Or, do this for the training sessions, and then you get to surf the net for 5 minutes. Except that 5 minutes can certainly be dragged out for a VERY long time. This is something I will have to work on, I am sure. I need to honor God with what I am doing. And not being a good worker here is not honoring Him, that is for sure.

Oh well, lucky for you, a break means more reading my thoughts! Aren't you all so lucky?
