ARG!!!

And this is a mad ARG!!!

As a preface... and warning to my post. I am honored to be asked to be in people's weddings. I have no problem with it. In fact it brings me much joy and humbles me when people ask me to do it. I do not think I will ever turn anyone down.

However, I do hate the bridesmaid dress buying process.

WHY??? because it robs you blind! Let me tell you.

Do you know that I just had to pay an extra $40 dollars because I am tall, and to add 3 inches of fabric to my dress, they are charging me $40. See short people... you don't want to be tall. Because how much you want to bet I just paid that extra money and on top of it, I will have to pay to have it altered (ie, shortened and taken in).

Not to mention that the dress size I had to order was two sizes above what I normally wear and it supposedly runs small.

Hmm... way to make us feel good about ourselves dress business. Make the dresses too small to begin with... then make them two sizes above "normal." AND, make us pay more because we are bigger/taller. Way to go.

Ok, I am done.

I love being in weddings... and repeat, feel honored to do so. But as with all things, sometimes there are downfalls. This would be one.
