Singleness

Overall I don't mind being single. Yea I have my moments where I think "my life will be completed if I only had ...a boyfriend ...a husband ...a wedding to plan ... children."

But then I remember all the awesome things you get to do as a single:

- spend money how I want to without consulting anyone
- go one trips with the girls (hello Disney, Tennessee, Maine, etc)
- drop everything to go and see a friend
- the joy of knowing I can do it!
- choosing to go back to school
- getting all the Introverted time I need
- decorating my room how I want
- not having to cook dinner every night (I have a very limited number of dishes I can make)

Sure, life isn't perfect in either boat. But I like where God has me. I read this quote quite some time ago... but it always makes me laugh.

It always makes me think, too... Let's celebrate being single! Or for that matter, celebrate where God has you! It is by no mistake you are there.

Being Single

I feel like everyday I struggle with still being single. I am constanly wondering if I will ever get married? heck, will I ever go on a date again? This was a great reminder of what God is saying to me right now... just to run the race with my eyes set upon Him; when (and if) the time is right, He will reveal that person to me. This is also true of job situations, children and other desires of the heart. Let's all just run the race looking unto Him and allow Him to work ALL things out.

"You will never be united with another until you are united with Me alone, exclusive of anyone or anything else, exclusive of any other desires or longings. I want you to stop planning, stop wishing, and allow Me to give you the most thrilling plan existing, one that you cannot imagine. Please allow Me to bring it to you. You just keep watching Me, expecting the greatest things. Keep experiencing the satisfaction that I Am.

Keep listening and learning the things I tell you. You just wait. That's all. Don't be anxious. Don't worry. Don't look at the things you think you want; You just keep looking off and away up to Me, or you'll miss what I want to show you. And then when you are ready, I'll surprise you with a love far more wonderful than any you could dream of. You see, until you are ready and until the one I have for you is ready (I am working even at this moment to have you both ready at the same time), until you are both satisfied exclusively with Me and the life I prepared for you, You won't be able to experience the love that exemplified your relationship with Me. And this is perfect love.

And dear one, I want you to have this most wonderful love, I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your relationship with Me, and to enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting union of beauty, perfection and love that I offer you with Myself.
